Hello everyone, and welcome to another of my reviews. In this article, I’ll review my experience at the SATS Premier Lounge in Changi Airport Terminal 2.
The SATS Premier Lounge is one of two Priority Pass lounges in Changi Airport Terminal 2. I’ve previously reviewed its counterpart in Terminal 3 and was impressed by its offerings. Let’s see how the Terminal 2 outpost fares.

SATS Premier Lounge T2 – Review
Though not shabby, the Terminal 2 lounge does look comparatively worse for wear than the one in Terminal 3.
However, the capacity seems to be larger, with noticeably more seating than the SATS Premier Lounge in Terminal 3.
There’s also a select few magazines for guests to browse through while lounging.
On the flip side, the dining area has more limited seating—it was a challenge to get a seat, and I ended up having to share a table with another couple.
SATS’ trademark lounge offering is the signature laksa, done DIY style – guests need to blanch the noodles, scoop the broth, and add condiments themselves.
However, the laksa was noticeably lacking in lemakness, especially compared to the bowl I had in the Terminal 3 lounge.
For comparison, here’s what my laksa looked like in the SATS Premier Terminal 3 lounge. Notice how the bowl looks vibrant and full of spices—a marked improvement over the dull bowl I got in the Terminal 2 lounge.
Other food options weren’t much better – most of what was served were generic buffet-style food.
The variety was quite limited – for example, there were only two vegetable options and two protein options.
The food tasted decidedly average—for those of us who served National Service, it tasted exactly like SATS ration boxes.
However, I enjoyed the dessert and cold cuts.
In particular, I appreciated how the lounge went the extra mile (pun intended) to offer nostalgic Singaporean snacks.
I enjoyed the pineapple cookies, the old-school gem biscuits, and the traditional cakes (those you might find in heartland bakeries).
The lounge also offers some hard liquor offerings, such as Gordon’s Gin, Jonnie Walker Black Label whisky (a favourite of mine), and Smirnoff Vodka.
There is also your standard red, white, and sparkling wine, though they are nothing to shout about. For context, this “1969” Cabernet Sauvignon has a Vivino rating of 3.4/5—serviceable but unmemorable.
For non-alcoholics, there are a variety of soft drinks and juices to choose from.
If you’re using the lounge during breakfast time, you can also help yourself to some toast.
There are also two professional Schaerer coffee machines in case you need a caffeine boost before your flight.
Rather uniquely, SATS Premier Lounge in Terminal 2 offers guests the opportunity to use Osim massage chairs for free, though in limited 10-minute sessions. This is a great offering that I hope more lounges will implement.
I was also impressed by the large and upscale bathroom, which features multiple toilet and shower cubicles.
Despite being a “mass market” lounge, the rainshower has provided amenities (shampoo and body wash). It exudes a hotel-esque feel, allowing guests to refresh themselves before their flight in style.
If you’re a business traveller, fret not – there are power ports (including USB-C ports) next to virtually every seat.
Overall, I find the SATS Premier Lounge in Terminal 2 to be an adequate lounge. Although it pales in comparison to its recently renovated brethren in Terminal 3, the Terminal 2 offering is larger and has some bells and whistles, such as the Osim massage chairs and rain showers. Nevertheless, the food options – with the exception of the local snacks – were limited and lacklustre, so there’s certainly room for improvement there.
SATS Premier Lounge in Terminal 2 is open 24 Hours daily.
