Hello everyone, and welcome to another of my reviews. In this article, I’ll review my experience at the SATS Premier Lounge in Changi Airport Terminal 1.
The SATS Premier Lounge is one of three Priority Pass lounges in Changi Airport Terminal 1. I’ve previously reviewed the Marhaba Lounge in Terminal 1, which was less than satisfactory. I’ve also reviewed the SATS Premier Lounge in Terminal 2 and Terminal 3, so let’s see how the Terminal 1 outpost fares.

SATS Premier Lounge T1 – Review
The SATS Premier Lounge in Terminal 1 is noticeably larger than its counterparts in Terminals 2 and 3.
Upon entering the lounge, guests can choose from a variety of reading materials.
Guests can enjoy the reading materials while relaxing in one of the lounge’s plentiful armchairs. The seating capacity is rather big, and is easily the largest lounge I’ve visited thus far in Changi Airport.
Business travellers can also use the lounge’s working nooks, which provide not only privacy but also charging ports. The lounge looks decently renovated—definitely not shabby.
Like in Terminal 2, the SATS Premier Lounge in Terminal 1 also offers users the opportunity to use Osim massage chairs for free, though in limited 15-minute sessions.
The lounge also has an extended dining area – you shouldn’t face any capacity problems here.
Like the other SATS lounges, the SATS signature laksa is offered. Note that this is DIY, so guests need to blanch the noodles, scoop the broth, and add condiments themselves.
Although I complained about the laksa in the Terminal 2 lounge, the SATS Premier Lounge in Terminal 1 actually has pretty decent laksa. I paired it with a glass of sauvignon blanc, which was perfect for cutting through the spiciness.
Other food offerings were good as well. I specifically enjoyed the chicken tikka masala and helped myself with multiple servings.
I also liked the char kway tiao and the miso yaki fish. Again, the food was noticeably better than that of the other SATS lounges.
In my previous review of the SATS Premier Lounge in Terminal 2, I compared the food offerings to SAF food rations. I’m pleased to report that the food I sampled in the Terminal 1 lounge is much better and akin to those served at atas hotel buffets.
However, the dessert options (red velvet and ondeh ondeh cakes) were decent but a tad generic as compared to the traditional Singaporean desserts found in the SATS Premier lounge of Terminal 2.
The alcoholic offerings are identical to those found in other SATS Premier lounges – 1969 red and white wine, prosecco, Gordon’s Gin, Smirnoff vodka, and Johnny Walker Black Label whisky. Nothing mindblowing, but classics that will do the trick and get you boozed up before your flight.
For non-alcoholics, there are schaerer coffee machines and a selection of Dilmah teas.
I also have to highlight the shower cubicle, which has clearly been recently renovated. The cubicle is large (larger than those of some 4-star hotels), with shower amenities provided. Showers are free to use, and towels are also provided.
Overall, I really enjoyed the SATS Premier Lounge in Terminal 1, and I believe it’s the best out of the three. The lounge is spacious, with tasty food options, and even has an upscale toilet and shower. I also appreciate the small touches, such as private work nooks, a prominent TV that displays relevant flight information, and the Osim massage chairs. My only complaint is that the lounge seems understaffed, given its size – I saw used plates and cutlery piling up on tables, and it took the cleaners some time to clear them. Nevertheless, it’s still a great lounge and is probably the best Priority Pass lounge in Terminal 1.
SATS Premier Lounge in Terminal 1 is open 24 Hours daily.
